Services

In-Home Music Therapy

Led by a board-certified music therapist, these sessions are designed to address social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and educational goals for individuals through the use of music applications. Session length is typically 30-45 minutes and occurs weekly. We travel to you, and serve all of Kansas City and surrounding areas. Before services begin, a music therapist will provide a free home visit to establish the eligibility for the client to receive music therapy services.

In-Home Music Lessons

Led by a board-certified music therapist, lessons are designed to teach or advance musical skills for beginning to intermediate ukulele, guitar, piano and voice. We offer adaptive lesson options for individuals who have different styles of learning. Lesson length is typically 30 minutes and occurs weekly. We travel to you, and serve all of Kansas City and surrounding areas. Before lessons begin, a music therapist will provide a free home visit to establish the eligibility for the client to receive lessons.

Music Groups and Events

Led by a board certified music therapist, music groups are designed to facilitate peer interaction and engagement through instrument play, group movement, active music making, and social skills practice. Lesson length is typically 20-30 minutes and occurs weekly. Groups may also be a special one-time event. We focus on social-emotional skills, movement and mobility, learning, and cognition at a location of your choice. We provide all of the materials for instrument play, group movement, and interactions. Ask about what groups we can provide!

Community Outreach

We provide free and affordable events and workshops to families in the community. These groups may focus on improving caregiver/child connection, increasing movement and mobility, fostering positive relationships, and learning practical skills through music. Resources and best ways to utilize music at home are discussed during and after the community events to continue the learning at home!
